Romelu Lukaku’s tough situation at Chelsea is unlikely to change whilst Thomas Tuchel is still the boss at the Premier League side, according to a report in the English media today.
As has been reported by The Times in England, a positive feeling between the Belgian striker and the German coach never really materialised from the start.
That being said, Romelu Lukaku’s first few weeks after leaving Inter were relatively successful. Then he got injured and made it clear in an interview that he wishes he had remained at Inter where he won the Serie A title last season.
He has managed to score 12 goals in all competitions this season which isn’t a big return given when you include the transfer fee, salary, and commissions, Chelsea have forked out around £180 million on the striker.
A return to Inter certainly cannot be ruled out but it would require a loan deal with Chelsea paying some of his wages.
