Inter are aiming to reach 85 points in Serie A over the final matches of the season in order to win the title.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri feel that if they barely drop points in their run-in then they can clinch the Scudetto.

Inter currently sit at 63 points in the table, three fewer than Napoli and four fewer than AC Milan but with a game in hand on both rivals.

With eight matches left, the Nerazzurri could potentially reach 87 points for their final total if they win every one of their remaining matches in the league.

The team have not quite set a goal as ambitious as a flawless end to the season, but they feel that 85 would be a number which the Rossoneri and the Partenopei would not be likely to equal given their form and fixture lists.

Inter got back to winning ways last weekend in one of their most difficult fixtures, beating Juventus 1-0 away, and now they feel that they have what it takes to push for close to maximum points to become favourites for the title.
