Inter could feel that the precedent for them to get the points they need for the Scudetto is good given how they performed in the reverse fixture of each of their last seven remaining Serie A matches.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note that the Nerazzurri dropped just two points in the seven matches that they played against their remaining opponents over the first half of the campaign.

Nineteen points out of twenty-one would not be enough to guarantee Inter the Serie A title, as it would make sure that they finish clear of Napoli but would still allow AC Milan to finish ahead of them should they win all six of their remaining matches.

However, it would certainly give Inter a high probability of finishing top of the pile as it is relatively improbable that the Rossoneri would win all six matches.

As such, Inter will feel that if they can perform at the same level as they did in the first half of the campaign, in which they beat each of their remaining opponents, except for Sampdoria against whom they drew, they will be in pole position.
