Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio had direct contact with Atletico Madrid during his time in Spain where he discussed the possible sale of Lautaro Martinez, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Piero Ausilio has been in Spain this week where he attended the Champions League matches between Real Madrid and Chelsea, and Atletico Madrid and Manchester City.
This allowed him to view a number of possible transfer targets first-hand but also to talk to the Atletico Madrid directors about Lautaro Martinez whom they are known to be interested in.
Inter are aiming to receive a fee of around €70-80 million for the Argentine forward and they are hoping that some more Premier League teams show their interest as this will rise the price.
The possible movement of Robert Lewandowski, Harry Kane and Erling Haaland means space at a big team for Lautaro Martinez may open up.
