Inter may not have progressed from their Champions League round of sixteen tie against Liverpool, but they exited the competition with their heads held high by beating the Reds away at Anfield in the second leg.
The game’s only goal was a spectacular long-range effort by striker Lautaro Martinez, which gave the team hope in the tie even if they weren’t able to score another to get back in it.
Martinez’s effort was named as the team’s goal of the month for March in a post on the club’s official Instagram account.
