Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid are set to battle for the signature of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, according to a report in the English media today.
As has been reported by Football Transfers today, the Premier League side are very interested in Inter’s Argentine striker as they think he could be the perfect player to support Harry Kane next season given the Englishman often misses part of the season through injury.
Spurs Sporting Director Fabio Paratici is very keen on the 24-year-old as he will have seen him closely during his role as director at Juventus in recent years.
It is also believed that Lautaro Martinez would be happy to link up again with Antonio Conte, the manager whom he won the Scudetto under with Inter last season.
It benefits Inter to have multiple teams aiming to sign Lautaro Martinez as it could inflate the price tag and help Inter’s financial issues.
