Inter are targeting Udinese striker Beto as their main alternative to Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca this summer.
This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that should the Nerazzurri be unable to complete a deal for Scamacca, then they will move for the Portuguese striker.
Scamacca remains Inter’s priority target in attack, as the Nerazzurri feel that the 23-year-old has the right profile to build their attack around for seasons to come.
However, Inter are reticent to meet the Neroverdi’s €40 million valuation for the striker, and are hoping that the price tag can drop in order to get a deal done for him.
Should Inter not be successful in their pursuit of Scamacca then they are thinking of alternatives to sign who have the right characteristics to lead the line in attack.
Foremost among the names on the Nerazzurri’s list is that of Beto, with the 24-year-old having impressed in his first season in Serie A.
