Inter are preparing to offer defender Milan Skriniar a new contract worth a net of €5 million per season until lasting until the end of June 2027.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri have made accelerating the contact talks with the Slovak defender a major priority for the coming weeks.

Skriniar’s current deal runs out at the end of June 2023, but there is no doubt at the club that they want to secure the 27-year-old’s future well beyond this date.

The defender’s performances this season have seen him further cement his reputation and his importance in the team’s backline, and the club have been preparing to get him to commit to a new deal.

The 27-year-old will be offered a contract extension until the end of June 2027, while his wages will be increased to almost €5 million net per season in order to get an agreement over the line.
