Former AC Milan and Juventus defender Alessandro Orlando feels that Inter are the team with the right qualities to go on and win the Serie A title.
Speaking to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Orlando particularly named the fact that the team have already shown that they can do it last season as a factor working in their favour in the Scudetto race.
Last season Inter won their first Serie A title in eleven years, finally showing that they were capable as a team as pushing all the way, and seeing off the competition of AC Milan, Juventus, and Atalanta relatively comfortably in the end.
This time around, they have lost some key players in the summer as well as parting ways with coach Antonio Conte, but the replacements have proved up to the task.
Additionally, much of the spine is still in place from last season, and Orlando feels that these players could call on their experience from last campaign to get the job done over the remaining matches of the Serie A season.
“Beyond the game in hand, I believe Inter are favourites because of their solidity and experience, the latter in particular, which the Nerazzurri have more than their rivals.”
