Inter captain Samir Handanovic and defender Alessandro Bastoni do not currently look likely to be back from injury in time for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Udinese.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the club are hoping to do everything they can to get the pair back but that they could miss the match against the Bianconeri.
Handanovic missed out on yesterday evening’s Serie A clash with Bologna due to a lower back problem, and his absence proved to be costly as stand-in goalkeeper Andrei Radu made a bad error in possession late on which resulted in Bologna’s opening goal.
Meanwhile, Bastoni missed out through some muscular fatigue with Simone Inzaghi deciding to go with Federico Dimarco in his place in the starting eleven.
The pair’s condition will be assessed in training today and going forward, but signs are not promising for a return against Udinese.
Meanwhile, Arturo Vidal should be back from his ankle problem, whilst the likes of Robin Gosens and Felipe Caicedo are also set to be available for the match.
