Inter are all set to agree a contract extension with head coach Simone Inzaghi which will take him until the end of June 2024.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the coach should be handed a one-year extension to his current deal with the option of a further season beyond that.

Inzaghi signed a two-year contract with the Nerazzurri until the end of June 2023 when he joined from Lazio at the beginning of last summer.

The club have been completely satisfied with the job that the 46-year-old has done this season so far and are keen to tie down his future with a new deal, as well as reward him with an increased salary.

The €4 million net which the coach currently earns should rise to around €5.5 million net on his new deal, which the club are close to agreeing with their coach.
