Former Inter defender Daniele Adani predicts that Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final between the Nerazzurri and Juventus will come down to a battle between Lautaro Martinez and Paulo Dybala.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Rai Radio, Adani predicted that the significant parts in the match will be played by the two Argentines, who he noted could be teammates next season.

Martinez and Dybala are both expected to start for their respective teams, and could be the two players to provide the spark in what will likely be a very evenly-balanced affair.

Both players’ futures are up in the air, with Dybala set to leave Juventus on a free transfer but his destination not yet clear and Martinez persistently linked with a sale in the summer.

For now, however, both players will be focused squarely on the task at hand and Adani believes that the match could turn on which of the two Argentines shows their best on the night.

He predicted “A tango between Lautaro and Dybala, the two Number Tens of Inter and Juve.”

“They could be playing together next season, who knows, but on Wednesday it will be an important clash between the two for technique, inspiration, goals,” he went on.

Adani believes it will be “A match that is indispensable for Juventus, while it is one more stage on a very positive path for Inter.”
