Cagliari goalkeeper Alesso Cragno expects that the atmosphere from the fans can play a role when they host Inter in Serie A next weekend.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN after his team’s 1-1 draw with Salernitana, the 27-year-old predicted that the Rossoblu could get a boost from their home support at the Sardegna Arena.
The Nerazzurri travel to Sardinia for their penultimate match of the season, and the two teams will head into the match with very different objectives.
Inter are fighting for the Serie A table, whilst Cagliari are desperate to pull themselves out of the relegation places and secure a place in the top flight for next season, but both teams will be highly motivated.
The fans will also undoubtedly appreciate the significance of the match, and the atmosphere in the stadium could well be enough to play a role in the way that the match goes if the Rossoblu are urged on by it.
“We got a big boost from the three hundred Cagliari fans in Salerno, we commend them,” Cragno said, “we’re confident that we will get their help against Inter as well.”
