Inter and AC Milan are set to play their final matches of the Serie A season in the 15:00 CET kickoff on Sunday, May 22.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, who report that the Lega Serie A are coordinating the end of the dramatic title race to allow either of the two teams to celebrate at the San Siro.

If the Nerazzurri do not drop points in their away match against Cagliari this weekend, then it is guaranteed that the Scudetto race with city rivals AC Milan will go down to the final day of the season.

Accordingly, one of the two teams will expect to celebrate the title on the final day, and the league are scheduling a dramatic climax with both Inter’s match against Sampdoria at the San Siro and Milan’s away clash with Sassuolo being played concurrently.

If the Nerazzurri are to win the title on the final day then they will simply celebrate the Scudetto at the San Siro after their match against Sampdoria, whereas if the Rossoneri do then they will travel back to Milan to celebrate in front of their fans.
