Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is aiming to make this Wednesday’s Coppa Italia the beginning of a cycle of trophies at the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-Based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the coach is aiming to make a win in the Coppa Italia only the beginning of a longer-term project with momentum.

The Nerazzurri have already won the Supercoppa Italiana against the Bianconeri, but they have an even more important piece of silverware to compete for later this week.

Many winning periods in the team’s past have been presaged by victory in the competition, and the coach appreciates that a victory in the final would give a winning dimension to his particular Inter project.

The 46-year-old has always taken the cup seriously, including winning it with Lazio in 2019, and he wants to lay down a similar marker with the Nerazzurri to prove that his work can result in trophies.
