Legendary former AC Milan midfielder Demetrio Albertini feels that his old team have the advantage over Inter in the Serie A title race, though it is not yet a decisive one.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Albertini rated the Rossoneri’s chances of lifting the Scudetto at the end of the season at 60% compared to 40% for the Nerazzurri.

The Scudetto race has now been reduced to the two Milan teams, with both teams in with a realistic chance and the race set to come down to the final day in the event that Inter win their game against Cagliari over the weekend.

Milan have the advantage in terms of points, while the head-to-head advantage means that they can afford to slip up and draw a match and still win the title if they finish level on points with their city rivals.

However, everything is still to play for with the Rossoneri still needing results against Atalanta and Sassuolo.

“Before the match against Verona I thought we were at 50% in terms of a chance of winning the Scudetto,” Albertini predicted, “now I’d say it’s more like 60%.”
