Legendary former Inter, Lazio, and Atletico Madrid striker Christian Vieri believes that either of the two teams at the top of the Serie A table would be fully-deserving title winners.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, Vieri gave the view that both Inter and AC Milan have contributed to an exciting title race and would be deserving whichever of the two prevails over the final two matches of the campaign.
The Nerazzurri are running out of time to catch up to their city rivals at the top of the Serie A table, needing the Rossoneri to drop at least three points over their remaining two matches in addition to winning both of their last two matches.
However, this has been a Serie A season that has been full of unexpected twists and turns, and both teams have done significant impressive work to get into this position as rivals.
Vieri has enjoyed watching the back-and-forth at the top of the table, and said that “I’ll say one thing – they both deserve it.”
“They’re there, every Sunday they battle each other,” he added. “Inter and Milan went behind against Empoli and Verona, and then turned the games upside down. It’s great for us as Italians.”
