Inter are set to extend the contract of coach Simone Inzaghi at the end of the current season.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that President Steven Zhang and the club directors are planning to offer the 46-year-old a new deal when the campaign concludes.

Inzaghi signed a two-year deal until the end of June 2023 when he joined Inter from Lazio last summer, but the club are already reportedly satisfied enough with the work that he has done with the team that they want him to stay longer than this.

Accordingly, the former Biancocelesti manager will be offered a new deal which will keep him at the helm of the project beyond the end of his current contract.

For the time being, however, the focus is squarely on the pitch with the Nerazzurri still having two massive matches to go in the Serie A title race before the end of the season.
