Inter could make head coach Simone Inzaghi a formal offer for a contract extension as early as next week.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the coach should be offered a new deal until the end of June 2024 which will see his wages raised to €5.5 million net per season.

Inzaghi was appointed last summer with a deal until the end of June 2023, but the club have already been fully convinced by his work in his first campaign at the helm.

President Steven Zhang in particular is convinced about staying on with the coach, as he enjoys a good relationship with the former Lazio boss and the two have similar personalities and a shared vision for the team.

The club will not waste time in getting an agreement with Inzaghi wrapped up to secure his future, and it should come soon after the current season is finished.
