Former Inter defender Christian Panucci has said that the Nerazzurri have the more solid and structured team out of them and AC Milan, according to a report in the Italian print media.
Speaking during an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Christian Panucci had praise for Inter’s squad building skills but suggested that it only exhibits why AC Milan have done so well to be in the box seat to win the Scudetto this season.
“I hope with all my heart that Milan will be able to reach the final goal: a goal that I would consider a true masterpiece.
“A feat of the highest level from all components: club, players, coach and technical staff. Inter had a much more solid and structured squad, Milan must be given the great merit of having been able to get where they did.”
Speaking glowing about the work those at AC Milan have done this season, Christian Panucci suggested that the values at the Rossoneri are unique.
“Thanks to their everyday work, they have shown that whoever is strongest is not always in charge. The spirit has been recreated that I also know perfectly well: Milan is unique for the values it knows how to transmit, for the sense of responsibility and respect for the rules.”
Heading into the final weekend of the season, AC Milan are two points ahead of the Nerazzurri and have the better head to head record which is the primary way to split the teams should they finish level on points.
Inter must beat Sampdoria and hope that Sassuolo beat AC Milan.
