Talks have already begun for Milan Skriniar to extend his contract at Inter and remain a key part of the Nerazzurri defence, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by the Roman daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport today, the Slovakian defender will sign a deal that sees his wage rise to €4.5 million per season, like the deal that Nicolo Barella signed earlier this season.

The talks have already progressed to the extent where Inter’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio, was recently spotted at a hotel in the centre of Milan with the agent of Milan Skriniar.

An agreement is expected to be found very shortly and that will mean that the Slovakian will not be the big player sacrificed by the club this summer in order to help balance the financial situation. It seems that could be Alessandro Bastoni instead for a fee of €60-70 million.
