Ex-Nerazzurri Midfielder Salvatore Bagni: “Inter Shouldn’t Sell Lautaro & Would Have A Great Summer If They Sign Dybala, Bremer & Mkhitaryan”

Former Inter and Napoli midfielder Salvatore Bagni believes that Lautaro Martinez is the player who Inter should make sure not to part with at all costs this summer.

Speaking to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, Bagni gave the view that the 24-year-old would be the hardest player in the Nerazzurri’s squad to replace, and also weighed in on their targets in the summer transfer window.

With the past season now in the rear view mirror, Inter are shifting quickly into focusing on the summer transfer window, with the club reportedly ready to make one big name sale and also already lining up their main targets for the summer.

Martinez is one of the main candidates for a big sale this summer, as the Argentine is one of the players in Inter’s team with the highest market value, but he is a player who Bagni would have serious reservations about allowing to leave.

“It’s not easy to find another attacking player with his qualities,” he said. :This year the starting duo was Dzeko and Lautaro, Dzeko certainly had a good season but he’s not young anymore, Lautaro can play another ten years at these levels, he has scored a lot of goals.”

“If he were sold, it would be like losing two players,” he added.

And of the Nerazzurri’s prospective incoming business, he said “Mamma Mia! Bremer, if Bastoni were to leave, is a very strong player – he has physicality, his aerially strong, has recovery pace, he has everything a defender needs.”

“Bremer is a completely solid player,” Bagni continued.” Dybala would come to a new club and link up with Marotta, who knows him very well and admires him, and would also give a lot to make the team who decided not renew him regret their decision.”

He called Henrikh Mkhitaryan, another Inter target, a “Very strong, top-quality player. We saw Roma when he was out – they lacked fluidity to their play, he’s a midfielder who knows how to play as an attacking midfielder, an attacker, has an eye for goal, assists too.”

“An excellent player on a free transfer,” he characterized the Armenian, “an opportunity not to be missed.”
