Inter will kick off their preseason training retreat on July 6, but players who have commitments with their national teams could be given an extra week off before being expected in training.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi is thinking of granting an extra week off to rest and recover to players who have international duty.

Inter are still a little over a month away from beginning training ahead of next season with just over a week gone since the previous campaign ended.

The club are already beginning to work in the transfer market, but as far as preparations on the training pitch are concerned, the date of July 6 has been set for players to return to training.

However, given how gruelling the season was, with the Nerazzurri playing over fifty matches across all competitions, players with the additional efforts of playing in national team fixtures this summer could be granted a little extra rest.
