Inter and AC Milan will only be building a stadium together if it is in the San Siro area of Milan, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, the two clubs will only be continuing to share a stadium in the long term if it is standing on the same site as the current San Siro stadium.

This is because Inter are not interested in the prospect of building a stadium in Sesto San Giovanni, another area of Milan that could be more accessible for getting the project finished.

New AC Milan owners RedBird Capital Partners have already decided that they will head to Sesto San Giovanni if there are continued issues with the Milan municipality.

There is currently a public debate ongoing around the new stadium and the demolition of the existing one. That is expected to be over in two-three months.
