Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has told Inter CEO Beppe Marotta that he will convince Chelsea to sanction his loan move to Inter this summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the Belgian striker thinks that he can convince his current club to allow him to spend next season on loan at Inter.

It seems a tough sell given they paid €115 million for the striker just one year ago but the Belgian thinks he can convince Chelsea by pointing out that they can save his €12 million salary plus €3 million in bonuses for one season if he goes to Inter.

There has been much talk about the growth decree and the need to secure the deal before June 30. That would help Inter but even if he is loaned for free in July or August, Inter would still welcome him given he scored 64 goals in his two previous seasons at the club.
