Inter are pushing to secure defender Milan Skriniar’s future by extending his contract until the end of June 2027.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 27-year-old will be offered a new deal which will see him earn a net of €4.5 million per season which will rise over the duration of the contract.

Skriniar does not look to have any intention of leaving Inter, as the Slovak international has reiterated on a number of occasions that he is content at the club and in the city of Milan.

The defender’s current deal expires at the end of June 2023, and sees him earn a net of €3 million per season, but the club are keen to tie him down well beyond this and hand him wages that reflect his importance in the team.

Amid significant uncertainty about which big name player will be sold this summer, and Nerazzurri are aiming to clarify the future of Skriniar at the club.
