Alessandro Bastoni wants to stay at Inter even if an offer for higher wages comes in from a club abroad.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 23-year-old’s preference is to remain at the Nerazzurri rather than be sold this summer, amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Nerazzurri could decide to sell Bastoni if a massive offer arrives for the defender, with teams in the Premier League in particular ready to spend big.

However, for his part, the defender is content at Inter and in the city of Milan, and would rather not transfer to another club, no matter which one.

Any offer to the player would almost certainly see his wages increased significantly from the €2.8 million net per season rising to €4 million with add-ons that he earns at Inter.

However, this would not sway Bastoni, as his desire is to stay at Inter, where he would also eventually expect a higher salary to reflect his importance to the team, though not as high as what he would almost certainly earn in the Premier League.
