Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is still hopeful about the possibility of signing Romelu Lukaku back from Chelsea this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the coach would be particularly keen on working with the Belgian for next season.

Inzaghi will have initially expected to have the chance to work with Lukaku when he joined Inter as coach from Lazio at the beginning of last summer, with no indications that the Belgian would be sold.

However, a massive offer from Chelsea was enough to convince both the Nerazzurri and the player on a shock sale, which left the Nerazzurri scrambling to reinforce the attack for their coach in the last month of the transfer window.

In the end, Inzaghi managed to make Inter’s attack the strongest in Serie A without Lukaku, but he is still keen to try and build a new-look attack around the 29-year-old if it is possible.
