Inter are set to extend backup goalkeeper Alex Cordaz’s contract by another season.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 40-year-old will be offered another one-year deal to stay at the club until the end of June 2023.

The goalkeeping situation will change at Inter during the summer transfer window, with Andre Onana set to arrive on a free transfer as the long-term first-choice keeper, whilst Andrei Radu is expected to depart either on loan or on a permanent basis.

Captain Samir Handanovic is all set to extend his current deal for at least one more season, however, and the 37-year-old could aim to compete with Onana for the starting spot whilst the Cameroonian settles in.

Meanwhile, Cordaz, who arrived as the third-choice keeper last summer on a one-year deal from Crotone, is also set to extend his deal past the end of the month, staying one more season.
