Inter will hold a meeting with head coach Simone Inzaghi to finalize his contract extension before he goes away on his summer holiday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri want one more face-to-face meeting with the coach for contract talks before he leaves.

Inzaghi is set to go on his summer holiday shortly, when his son’s school year ends, and the 46-year-old will take some time to rest after an intense first season in charge at Inter.

The coach is set to be formally offered a contract extension past the end of next June, with the expectation having long been that the club will secure his future for the longer term soon.

Phone contacts will still take place between the club and the coach while he is on holiday, but there will be one more face-to-face meeting involving the club and coach’s lawyers as well before then.
