Inter will not make the loan move of Genoa striker Felipe Caicedo from the second half of the season just gone permanent.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the Nerazzurri will not redeem the loan of the 33-year-old on a permanent basis, and that a move to a Qatar Stars League club could be on the cards for him.

Inter signed Caicedo on a dry loan from Genoa during the January transfer window, with the Ecuadorian a player who had worked successfully with coach Simone Inzaghi while at Lazio.

The intention was for Caicedo to add a reliable option to the Nerazzurri’s attack while other forwards were dealing with injury issues, but the 33-year-old had some bad luck with injuries himself and barely played.

Caicedo will not remain at Inter now that his loan move is over, while a departure from Genoa is possible with Qatar a possible destination for him.
