Inter will officially announce the extension of coach Simone Inzaghi by the end of the current month.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that everything is in place for the 46-year-old’s new deal and that it should be made official by the end of June.

Talks have been going on for some time to extend Inzaghi’s contract, as the club are fully committed to building for the future around the former Lazio manager after how the first season went under him.

The agreement is all but done for a new deal which will see Inzaghi stay on until the end of June 2024 at least, at improved terms from the two-year deal which he signed last summer when he replaced Antonio Conte.

Inzaghi and the club directors are set to meet today where they will discuss the transfer strategy for the summer window, and they will also talk about the contract extension.
