Out-of-contract striker Mattia Destro has been offered to Inter to round out their attack for next season.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 32-year-old’s have proposed him as an option to the Nerazzurri now that his deal with Genoa is set to expire at the end of the month.
Destro had already been offered to Inter during the January transfer window as they searched for an attacker, settling on Felipe Caicedo on loan.
The 32-year-old had been just six months away from the end of his contract at the time and would have represented a bargain deal for the Nerazzurri, while now he would be available without a transfer fee.
Destro’s representatives are also suggesting that, given that he is Italian and was in Inter’s youth academy, his place in the squad could be helpful in registering for European competitions.
The striker has also been offered to the likes of Lecce, Cremonese, and Salernitana.
