Inter are aiming to sign Romelu Lukaku on a paid loan for two seasons and then complete a deal on a permanent basis for him.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri could offer an initial paid loan followed by the promise of another season on loan and then a permanent deal for the Belgian.
Talks are going full speed ahead between Inter and Chelsea on an improbable return for Lukaku to the Nerazzurri just one year after he was sold in a big money move last summer.
The Nerazzurri can only sign the 29-year-old on loan this summer, while new rules regarding loans would prevent a loan lasting more than one season.
However, Inter could strike up a gentleman’s agreement with Chelsea that after the initial paid loan were completed at the end of the season, they will re-sign him on another paid loan, with the goal being a permanent transfer after that.
