Inter have made clear to Chelsea that they will not include wingback Denzel Dumfries as part of any deal to sign striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have rebuffed the Blues’ interest in a swap of some kind involving Dumfries.

Inter and Chelsea are moving forward with talks to try and work out a deal for the Nerazzurri to bring Lukaku back on loan, although Chelsea would expect to be compensated in some way given the amount that they invested in the striker just one summer ago.

A paid loan has looked to be a likely possibility, but the Blues have also probed the possibility of a swap deal of some kind, with a few Inter players of interest to them.

None more so than Dumfries who has been their main focus concerning a potential swap next summer, but the Nerazzurri would not be prepared to include the Dutchman in the talks.
