If Inter were to manage to complete the signing of Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea, the door could be opened for Joaquin Correa to depart this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri could sign the Belgian and then offload the player who replaced him last summer, with Correa linked to a move to Marseille.

Inter continue to believe that they could very well pull off the re-signing of Lukaku this summer, and a return for the Belgian alongside the expected signing of Paulo Dybala would mean that they would have five senior forwards in the squad even after the departure of Alexis Sanchez.

Between Lukaku, Dybala, Correa, Lautaro Martinez, and Edin Dzeko one would likely have to be, and this could well be Correa just one season after he joined from Lazio.

Marseille coach Jorge Sampaoli is a fan of the 27-year-old, and this could well be his exit route in the event that Lukaku were to be signed.
