Inter have told Chelsea that the asking price for Denzel Dumfries is €45 million if the Blues intend to buy him during the summer transfer window.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri have given their valuation of the Dutchman to the Chelsea during talks around Romelu Lukaku, and that the amount is considered to be too much by the Premier League club.

Inter and Chelsea are sitting down to discuss the possible return of Lukaku to the Nerazzurri on loan, but Chelsea are also interested in other players from the Nerazzurri, with Dumfries being the player they are keenest on.

The 26-year-old was among the topics of discussion during talks between the two clubs today, and Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta gave the London-based side an asking price of €45 million.

The Blues consider this amount to be too high as it stands, but they could see if Inter will be willing to go lower as part of an effort to get a deal for Romelu Lukaku over the line, even though the two transfers would not be strictly connected.
