Inter CEO wants to have an agreement in place with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku’s return by the weekend, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Repubblica today, the negotiations between the two clubs are now open and are thought to be progressing quickly.

There was contact between Inter and Chelsea on Wednesday where they first discussed the prospect of a loan deal. The next few days will be crucial as they look to find some sort of middle ground when it comes to the loan fee.

Chelsea want €15 million but Inter are currently only offering €5 million. It is believed that the Nerazzurri would raise that to €10 million if forced.

Beppe Marotta is very keen to get the deal wrapped up by the end of this weekend so that he can give Simone Inzaghi the first new piece of his squad for next season.
