Former Juventus coach Fabio Capello has said that Inter are the best-equipped team in Serie A right now but the transfer market can still change that, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with Corriere della Sera, Fabio Capello was discussing the signing of Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea and he pointed out that if a player is so desperate to return after making such an expensive move, it can only be a good thing.

“When a player has done well in one place, got so excited that Chelsea paid €115 million for him and asks to come back, it’s very positive.

“He wants to show, there is anger, revenge for not having been appreciated. In Italy we don’t know how to defend, we don’t have people capable of stopping him: he’s overflowing.”

He then added that given that signing, Inter are now in a stronger position to win the title next season than anyone else.

“Inter are the best equipped, I think they are the candidate, but let’s wait, the market is not over.”

It was widely expected that Paulo Dybala would be joining Romelu Lukaku at Inter and it could still happen. Fabio Capello feels they may have some doubts now.

“They already have a team structure, they’re stopping a bit, maybe some doubts have come to them. But Dybala’s quality cannot be questioned.”

When asked if he can play with both Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku, the former player said it is the job of the coach to make it work.

“At Roma I played with Totti, Montella and Batistuta. It depends on the system of play, the coach has to support them.

“If the defence and midfield understand that those three can make you win then they sacrifice themselves: that’s the discriminating factor.”
