Inter and Salernitana are around €2 million away from one another in their negotiations for a sale of defender Lorenzo Pirola.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that there is still some distance between the Nerazzurri’s asking price and the offer that Salernitana are ready to put forward before they can get a deal done for the 20-year-old.

Salernitana are very keen on Pirola, who they have identified as a profile in line with their objective to build around young Italian talent in the coming season.

Monza have not activated the option to sign the defender on a permanent basis following his two seasons on loan helping them to promotion to Serie A, and it looks to be Salernitana who are the club most interested in signing him.

However, as it stands there is still a bit of distance in the clubs’ valuations of the defender, and it remains to be seen if they can come together and get a deal done for him.
