Inter are hoping that the competition between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea for defender Milan Skriniar’s signature will mean that they can sell him for €80 million.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri are hoping to see a bidding war break out between the two clubs to arrive at a final transfer fee as close to their valuation as possible.

Inter have slapped a €80 million asking price on Skriniar, and they have been clear that they have no intention of doing a deal for much less than that, rejecting lower offers or the possibility of a player-plus-cash offer in their talks with PSG.

With Chelsea now on the scene, both clubs could have greater impetus to try and convince the Nerazzurri quickly, and this could mean that they both start making offers close to Inter’s asking price.

The Nerazzurri see €80 million as the target to reach financial targets for the summer and also to afford signings, and they will wait and see if PSG and Chelsea push each other to that amount.
