Anderlecht coach Felice Mazzu has said that his expectations are high for every player regardless of where they are from after Sebastiano Esposito joined from Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInternews, Felice Mazzu was speaking during a press conference from the Anderlecht training camp in Horst, The Netherlands.

He was talking about the state of health in his squad at the moment and he explained that they have a lot of work to do before they are up to the level that he wants them to be at to compete.

“We are not ready yet. It is quite normal after such a short time together. We are still a long way from the start of the season even though we are close to the first game.”

He was then asked about what expectations he places on Sebastiano Esposito after his arrival on loan from Inter a week or so ago.

He explained that his expectations do not change for any player based on where they have come from, implying that there is some pedigree when coming from Inter.

“My expectations are high for all the players. No matter where they come from, the group and the players must reach their best level. That is my challenge. If I succeed, then the lads will be able to show themselves.”
