Inter striker Edin Dzeko doesn’t want to leave the club this summer, which blocks the way for the signing of Paulo Dybala.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 36-year-old isn’t keen on leaving the Nerazzurri despite there being some interest in his signature, whilst the club will not push him out and coach Simone Inzaghi would like to keep him.

Dzeko signed from Roma last summer and became an important part of Inzaghi’s tactical ideas in the coach’s first season in charge, whilst the Bosnian would become the main backup option to Romelu Lukaku during the season to come should he stay at the club.

With Joaquin Correa as the deputy to Lautaro Martinez and then a young forward like Valentin Carboni as the fifth striker, the Nerazzurri’s attack would appear to be complete without Dybala, even if Alexis Sanchez leaves as is anticipated.

Correa’s case is also a complicated one as far as securing an exit, and while the likes of Juventus, Valencia, and Monza have shown an interest in Dzeko, his preference is to stay at Inter, something which Inzaghi would welcome.

As a result of all this, the way would currently be blocked as far as signing Dybala unless something changes with Dzeko’s situation.
