Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that Inter could very possibly have a first-choice backline of Milan Skriniar, Bremer, and Alessandro Bastoni next season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Sportiva, Biasin reported that it is within the realm of possibility that if Stefan de Vrij is sold, then Skriniar could remain at the club while Bremer is also brought in from Torino.

Bremer has long been a major target for the Nerazzurri, whilst Skriniar has been strongly linked with a sale to Paris Saint-Germain for the past few weeks.

A sale of Skriniar would certainly accelerate Inter’s pursuit of Bremer, but they might not necessarily be linked, and even if the Slovakian were to remain at the club they would still be aiming to sign the Torino defender.

As Biasin explained, a sale of Skriniar is not yet an inevitability, and even if the talks are to fall through with the Parisians, the Nerazzurri would still be extremely keen to add Bremer to their defense.

“Bremer is a priority for Inter,” he said, “he could also arrive even without the sale of Skriniar.”

“Inter sees him as the defender for both the present and the future,” he added. “A Bremer-Skriniar-Bastoni back three can’t be ruled out, perhaps through a sale of de Vrij or Pinamonti.”
