Torino owner Urbano Cairo is hoping that other clubs seriously join Inter in the race for defender Bremer so that a bidding war ensues that increases his value.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Granata owner believes that the 25-year-old’s value is far higher than the Nerazzurri are offering and that it can be reached if more clubs enter the chase for him.
So far Inter have gone no higher than €28-30 million in a cash offer for Bremer, add-ons included, which is still a long way from the minimum €40 million that Torino are asking for.
Yesterday Cairo remarked that if Inter are to sell Milan Skriniar for €70 million, then a defender of the Brazilian’s quality must also have a much higher value than he’s been linked to.
The Torino owner’s intentions are that Bremer not leave for a low fee, and he could be inviting teams to come in with offers that exceed the Nerazzurri’s in order to reach the figure that he wants for the defender.
