Inter would face a significant setback if they are to lose out on the signing of Torino defender Bremer to Juventus because he is a player they’ve looked to be poised to sign for months.

This is the view of Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin, who tweeted about the situation and gave his view as to why missing our on the 25-year-old to the Bianconeri would be such a bitter pill to swallow for Inter.

Inter will meet with Torino this evening to try and finally get a deal done for Bremer, but they appear to be working uphill with Juventus having come on to the scene and ready to make a larger offer to both the player and club.

Should the Nerazzurri be unable to convince the Granata in the meeting this evening, the way could be cleared for major rivals Juventus to move for a player who they’ve been targeting for the past few months, and who was named as the best defender in Serie A last season.

Biasin outlined his views on the situation, tweeting “Why would losing out on Bremer be serious? Because they had him in their hands for months. Because he would end up at a direct rival. Because he plays a position where top players are hard to fine. Because he’s a top player.”

“They can also live without Bremer, of course,” he concludes, “but it would be a real shame.”
