Robin Gosens will not be included in the squad for Inter’s friendly clash with Lens on Saturday as he deals with a minor thigh problem.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 28-year-old has picked up some muscular fatigue which will rule him out of the friendly match, and that Matteo Darmian is likely to start in his place.
Gosens has started Inter’s first two friendlies of the season, against Lugano and then Monaco, but he has picked up a knock in training.
The issue is nothing more than muscular fatigue in the German’s left thigh, but it looks to be sufficient to prevent him from playing against Lens.
Darmian had started in defense in the 2-2 draw against Monaco, but with Alessandro Bastoni and Stefan de Vrij back available the 32-year-old can move to left wing-back against Lens, whilst Valentino Lazaro could also make an appearance.
