Inter President Steven Zhang has not given authorization for the offer to Torino for defender Bremer to be increased.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reports on his homepage that the President has declined to go beyond €30 million plus add-ons and the inclusion of midfielder Cesare Casadei to try and sign the Brazilian.

Inter will meet with Torino for talks shortly this evening where they will try to work out a deal to sign Bremer, and the Nerazzurri are set to make a formal offer containing €30 million as well as add-ons and Casadei joining the Granata, provided they retain control of Casadei’s future.

With Juventus ready to offer €40 million for the Brazilian, this may not be enough, but Zhang has not told the directors to go above their initial offer even if the Granata turn down their offer outright in light of the Bianconeri’s bid.

Juventus have also offered the player a contract worth €4 million net per season rather than the €3 million net per season put forward by Inter, and they have identified him as their preferred target to replace Matthijs de Ligt who is on his way to Bayern Munich.

Inter are hoping for a loan move containing an obligation to buy, whereas the Bianconeri would be ready to purchase the 25-year-old on a permanent basis immediately.

The Nerazzurri are still hoping that the player’s will to join them will play in their favour, but the President has not given the green light to respond to Juventus financially.
