Inter are considering Atalanta’s Merih Demiral, Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic, and Borussia Dortmund’s Manuel Akanji as their main alternatives in the event that they miss out on the signing of Torino defender Bremer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who also report that Milan Skriniar staying at the club cannot be categorically excluded in the event that Bremer isn’t signed.

Demiral would be a seen as a stylistically apt alternative to Bremer, and the negotiations with Atalanta for his signature could go more smoothly considering La Dea are closely pursuing Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti.

Meanwhile, Akanji is also highly rated by the Nerazzurri and would cost around €20-25 million, whilst Milenkovic’s asking price is around €15 million and the Nerazzurri have already agreed a contract with the Serb worth €2.5 million net per season.

In the event that Bremer is not signed Inter would seriously rethink allowing Skriniar to leave even if Paris Saint-Germain make an offer worth €70 million, while if the Slovakian were to depart they could target both Demiral and Milenkovic at a combined fee similar to what they would be offering for Bremer.
