Inter are considering a move for Borussia Dortmund defender Manuel Akanji as a Plan B option after missing out on Torino’s Bremer.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 27-year-old has been offered to the Nerazzurri and they are interested, but that his high wages could make a move to the English top flight more probable.

Inter are scrambling after missing out on top target Bremer who is on the verge of joining Juventus, but they will look to sign a defender nevertheless.

Akanji’s contract runs out with Borussia Dortmund at the end of June 2023, and he has turned down the Schwarzgelben’s extension offer so he could be on his way this summer.

The Swiss international has also been offered to the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur, which would be likelier destinations should they move for him as they would be more able to meet his wage demands.
